Loneliness Is Underrated
‘TRUE’ RUNNERS WORLD – ED. 8
Maybe you’ve been running for a while but now you’re serious this time. In the past, you’ve been “dabbling” in and out, not quite sure of what you REALLY want to do.
But it’s different this time. Why?
Lately, you’ve been gradually upping that mileage during the week and committing to longer runs on the weekends. It’s the most disciplined you’ve ever been as a runner. This time, you mean business.
But you’re frustrated.
*****The Real Runner Scheme*****
What if what you’ve heard about Real Runners is just wrong? Would you keep being brainwashed, doing the same things and getting the same results? Or would you try something new and radically different? To stop the madness,
GO HERE before this special report is removed.

You’re ready to run that first marathon now but personal ‘stuff’ is getting in the way. Your boss just dumped work projects on your desk and they have to be complete the next few weeks… just when some local tuneup races are going on.
And it’s not going to get any better because your finances just won’t allow you to hit the road to the nearest out of town events creeping up.
Yet, you keep your chin up and keep training because you’re afraid to break that momentum. Maybe you can work something out.
It certainly doesn’t help that you see other runners all hyped up for the same races you won’t be attending. You’re finally at that point you talked about for so long and now, here comes those roadblocks.
Suddenly, your attitude starts creating more problems.
Your mechanics don’t look as good. Your speed needs work, and your pace sucks. Everything is falling apart. Hell, you were never cut out to be a good runner anyway. After all, you didn’t even like to run when you were younger.
Sound familiar? You aren’t the first dabbler turned serious runner who experienced some sort of “temporary” setbacks and despair (and you definitely won’t be the last).
Many of us runners, no matter where we are in our journey, have dealt with the loneliness or disconnect.
Think about welcoming the frustration. Opening the door…inviting it in. You don’t have to offer it a chair to sit down though, it won’t be visiting too long.
⊥⊥⊥⊥It’s about staying focused and embracing your process, as a runner. This includes the frustration. It’s a necessary part of it. ⊥⊥⊥⊥
Or it’s not a ‘true’ process.
Do you quit now…back to the days of dabbling? You’re now forced to work with what you have in front of you and figure it out.
Ever think that runner you see behind or in front of you may feel just as isolated and suffers the same discontent? That may very well be next dabbler turned serious runner who needs you, your struggles and experiences.
In other words, a ‘true’ process. So, try embracing it.
Then maybe you can pass it on to the next runner in need.
